Hello,
https://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/ports/tests/ppc64-test-20241022/debian-12.0.0-ppc64-NETINST-1.iso
This fixes the issue with the kernel not booting beyond the initial messages,
but once the installer itself starts, it does not accept any keyboard input
for me in both QEMU and PowerKVM.

No idea yet what the problem is.

Hi Talija,
I can confirm the same behavior on my G5, after getting to the installer
configuration screen, the keyboard does not accept any input.
Thanks for the feedback. I have received feedback from IBM engineers who
are looking into this as the issue affects POWER8 as well but apparently
not POWER9 which is surprising to me.

Let's see if they figure something out or whether I'll have to bisect the
problem.
